60s hair and makeup?

im going to a 60s theme night, and i need to try and do something to the hair(how to get it like beehive ect)its shoulder lentgh any ideas how to do this?or do i need to go to hairdressers?cheers60s hair and makeup?
its easy i used to do it all the time preferably take just the center top pieces of your hair and if can curl it then spray it good that the key and tease it real good and take the front straight pieces and come over the teased portion and then style as desired pony tale, flip up ,straight and if you cant get it a couple of bucks can get the best look at a salon it shouldnt cost a lot just for them to style it ,wash and stuff yourself its cheaper hope this helps60s hair and makeup?
Take a small-toothed comb and pick up sections about 1'; wide. Then tease or back comb the hell out of it. When you're done with that section, spray it well with hairspray. Then do the rest of your hair. When it's all done, you can take a brush, and shape it into the beehive shape, using more hairspray as you go. Google Priscilla Presley 1960's and you'll see the perfect example of both 60's hair and makeup in her. Have fun!
i can't tell ya the beehive style, but french twists were in back then...my mom had one...lol...anyway you'll need a small crew sock...no larger than a woman's size...anyway, brush your hair back as if you were going to put a pony tail in your hair...the difference is that you'll brush it more to one side...i lke the right..you may like the left..when it feels smooth..and no tangles etc...wrap the ends of your hair around the sock which is vertical...slowly roll your hair up using the sock as though it was a roller...while simulatanteously tucking loose hairs in, the sock etc.. so that nothing shows except the finished product and secure using bobby pins that match your hair color....your hair will be in one vertical row in the back and coming up on the sides...now you can pull down some pieces around your face and neck if you want, but keep it modest...were talking the 60's remember doris day??

Go to a hairdresser that is older and lived in that time or even a female neighbor or a friend of your parents that is about 60 years old. That would be the best way, as they lived at that time and most likely wore that style.
cat eye eyeliner and tease your hair so it poofs
