Halloween lolita dress, hair, and makeup?

ok so for halloween (i know that its a long time from now) i want to be a lolita doll. i need advive on what to do for outfit hair and makeup. please if theres any websites or whatever please put those in your answer. if you dont know what lolita is then go to youtube and search bizenghast, the main character, dinah wears lolita style dresses. i want to look good, like a teenager (i am 1).Halloween lolita dress, hair, and makeup?

Be careful, lots of girls will get offended if you call anything lolita a costume, trust me.





Please please please realize that lolita fashion is EXPENSIVE. If it's cheap, it's almost always low quality, and low quality just isn't lolita. If you're going to make your outfit, please use a fabric that isn't shiny like satin and use some durable, not scratchy, cotton lace. If you're going to buy your dress, trust me when I say not to use eBay, Cosmates, or Hottopic. Try this website, it has wonderful quality outfits for good prices. (The prices are in Hong Kong dollars, not US dollars, it's much cheaper than it looks like.)

They have socks here, their stuff isn't quite as good quality, and they don't have any shoes, but they're nice too.





Here are some tips that any beginner needs to know:


Make sure your skirt is knee-length. If it's more than two inches above your knee, it's definitely too short.


Wear a petticoat, and a good one. You need it to make your skirt the right shape. Square dancing petticoats don't work well with lolita.


As a beginner, you should try to keep your outfit(s) a simple color scheme. Pink and white, Black and white, all black, or all white. Something like that. Please don't do red and black, it often looks tacky.


For makeup, keep it natural. Don't have black circles around your eyes or red or black lipstick. Lolita are supposed to look like little girls, and little girls don't wear lots of makeup.


Just try putting your hair in loose curls and leaving it down, that looks cute on almost everyone and isn't hard to do.


Don't wear cat ears or bunny ears or wings or any kind of tail. Trust me.


Don't wear tennis shoes. Don't wear stilettos. Don't wear huge platform boots with big heels.
